Courtney is an alto on the frontline and in the choir. She also plays the flute occasionally.

It’s been a blessing to serve with this team and to get to know them- every single one of them are such amazing musicians, people, and followers of Christ that I love spending my time with, and they’re my family. Today we are featuring Todd Parker. Todd has been attending Cornerstone for 7 years now. He has been serving in production for almost 6 years, and he’s been programming the lights for about 4 years.
Todd has done just about everything on the production side of things, such as running a camera, producing, directing and programming the lights.
“I serve because I love it. I want to help people get into the spirit of worship by making the lights be the best they can be. I love Cornerstone. It has given me so much and I want to give back however I can. When I am setting up lights during the week, I have my own little worship service where I can praise God in my own way and be as loud and charismatic as I want to be. I love doing what I do and it’s where I feel God has led me to serve. I just try and complement our wonderful worship team and the sounds and songs that they bring every Sunday morning.”
Todd, thank you for all you do to serve God and serve people!

God’s own love was revealed when He sent His one and only son into the world so that through Him, we could have life. 1 John 4:9
LOVE//Seeking the well being of others without expecting anything in return.
“The great King, born into a stable to save the world. The greatest gift, given to an undeserving world. Life eternal, offered to you and to me. What a cost. How little we deserved it. How great a gift.”
So let us respond to the King of Kings with songs of adoration. Oh come let us adore Him. 🙌🏼

Today we are featuring Rin Vinson. Rin has been attending Cornerstone and on the team for five months.
Rin is the FOH ( Front of House) engineer. He is involved with anything audio related such as live sound, live recordings, and mixing the sound of both services.
When asked why he enjoys serving on the team at Cornerstone, Rin had a lot to say.
“Pastor Scott is amazing and I get something from him each week that I can think about and try to apply to my life. His messages resonate with me as well as his personality and energy. His father, Pastor Robert, is also a great pastor and when I am able to hear him speak about something, I am moved.
The people that I work alongside at Cornerstone are quality, awesome people. Everyone that I have been associated with since I started has been a great person to hang out with and work with. I have been welcomed in a way that I have never been welcomed before. Warmth and humor....what else could you ask for? If you take yourself too seriously in life, IMO, you aren't living. We get the job done AND have fun.
The band and singers at Cornerstone are excellent. I can only mix what is delivered to me....and hopefully make that sound as good as I possibly can for the congregation. The Cornerstone ensemble is 10 times better than the normal praise and worship ensemble. If they don't sound good, I can't "make" them sound good. And they sound great. This makes my job much easier.
I am grateful to be a part of the Cornerstone Church.”
Rin, thank you for all you do to serve God and serve people!

“The worship team is an amazing group of musicians, singers, creators and production crew. It’s a joy serving with a team that constantly drives me to be my best musically and has a focused heart for making Jesus known.”

Today we are featuring Misty Bradberry Martin. Misty has been attending Cornerstone for about 7 years and she has been a part of the Worship Arts ministry for about 6 years.
Misty serves in a couple different roles on the team. She sings alto in the choir, and she runs video cameras for production. Without people like Misty, we wouldn’t be able to livestream to make Jesus known for many that can’t attend in person!
“Praise and worship are so special to me and help me feel closer to God. Our choir practices are like my small group, and I have been blessed so many times during them. I love all the friendships I have made there! I don’t take my time on the stage lightly. We are priests, too, when we are up on the stage, so I hope my worship can help bring others into a closer relationship with God.
I feel like serving on the production team helps bring others to God who may not be able to make it into the church building. If just one person has received Christ through watching a service online, then that is worth every second of running a video camera! We have such a fun team, and I love feeling like I am giving back to the church when I serve. “
Misty, thank you for all you do to serve God and serve people!

Today we are featuring Ashley Manning. Ashley has been attending Cornerstone for 2 years and she began serving on the Worship Arts team a few weeks later.
Ashley sings alto on the worship team and in the choir. She also serves on the Worship Arts Leadership team and the Creative team.
“ I enjoy serving on the Worship Arts team because it's an opportunity to gather with other believers and draw both ourselves and others closer to Jesus. Worship is a weapon. It's so much more than just songs and singing. It’s an active choice to rise above feelings and circumstances and express gratitude for who He is and what He's done. It's understanding who we are in Him and that our ultimate purpose is to glorify Him in all we do. Serving in the Cornerstone Worship Arts ministry just gives me an opportunity to share that with others and for that I'm grateful.”

Today we are featuring Jenna Butler. Jenna has been attending Cornerstone and serving on the Worship Arts team for 8 years.
Jenna serves in the choir, as a worship team member, and she is also on the Worship Arts leadership team.
“I enjoy serving on the various worship arts teams for many reasons. Music is my way of communicating my love for the Lord, how I feel His presence, how I feel His love for me, & how much He has done for me. It encourages me (even on those days when I can't remember why I get up in the morning, why I push through each day) that He will never leave nor forsake me, that He is in control & there's no need to fear. It allows me to lead others into the presence of the Lord, where anything is possible.”

Today we are featuring Emily Joiner. Emily has been attending Cornerstone for 2 years, where she has served on the Worship Arts team from day one.
Emily sings soprano, along with serving on the Worship Arts leadership team, and the creative team.
“It’s such a privilege to be used in this way. Worship through music reaches people that may not have a background of church and can’t quite connect with the teaching portion of worship, or even people with language barriers. It‘s such a cool thing to be able to help lead people into the Presence of God. “

Welcome to Feature Friday!
Today we are featuring Jonathan Waggoner. Jonathan has been attending Cornerstone for 39 years, where he was dedicated as a newborn. He was one of the first to start the worship team 30 years ago. They only had a piano and an organ, and later found a set of drums and a bass guitar in a closet. They eventually created the youth band, which later became Julian Drive.
Jonathan plays multiple instruments, so his role is to fill in whatever spot is needed, but more importantly, just to be supportive of the vision that Pastor Scott and Pastor Lance have.
“God has shown me grace way more times than I ever deserved. He looks past things that no one else ever would and He reaches His hand down to me and pulls me to Him. It’s just a few notes on a guitar, but if those few notes help someone else to feel the love that God has, let’s do it!”

“I love the community of love when it comes to serving on a ministry. The feeling of home and acceptance, it leads me to be a better doorway through my ministry for people to come to Christ. It also helps me become a better leader for others and a better follower of Christ.”
